I wish those Trappist monks would wisen up and follow Natural Lites lead! I mean come on get with the program. Maybe if they pissed in the fermenters.

Hmmm.... how to proceed here... do I close it and leave a nasty comment or let the comedy ensue? Decisions, decisions... ;)
(Wait... it's not my forum... but I can dream, can't I?)

How many brewers does it take to make Natural Ice?
5 -- 1 to stir while the rest pee in the boil pot.

I'm still trying to figure out how you get piss to ferment.

Yuck. I was all ready to get my usual nostalgic about Natty Bo. Not only is Natural Light awful but the nick name is already taken by a more beloved awful beer.
Okay, who moved the Nevermind thread??? Oh wait, this is far too ridiculous a statement to be made over there.

So, how's college treatin' ya? Keepin' that GPA above 2.0?

C'mon guys, the man certainly is entitled to his opinion. It's a terrible opinion, but nonetheless, it is an opinion. It probably took him and his buddies 45 minutes to register, and all you do is slam him.

I resent that. I'm at university at the moment and drinking some of the best real ale in the world. And in this university I'm not a rare breed (Oxford beer festival on Thursday). What a way to study!

Not meaning to offend. There are some college students with more discriminating tastes (studentofbeer, for one). Take a look at some of the pictures under the "alcohol" tag at collegehumor.com (warning: site contains nudity) and you'll see that my comment was fairly on par with the general populace in American universities.

While I am first and foremost a Natty BOH drinker (until the first frost) when it comes to BMC, I'll have to admit that when I was at Pitt we could get two cases of Natural Light delivered for $12 with tip. On the college budget, you can't beat that.
The palate was ruined by "wing burn", so we couldn't really taste it.

Heh...I live in a big party college town, and one of the traditions at the start of the Fall semester is for all of the students who live off-campus in houses (along the main drag) to create giant banners and hang them from their porches. Some of the banners are flat-out hilarious (and some are borderline x-rated), but one of the cute ones I remember this year was:
Goodbye daddy, hello natty!

You are also in a country where you did not have prohibition in the last century where very few regional breweries survived. Most of the "frat boys" who go to college in the US would not know a good beer if it jumped up and bit them on the ass. They are quite content to spend momy and daddy's money on the shittiest beer they can possibly find because it is only $4.99 for a 12 pack and when they are done with it the cardboard box makes a neat hat.

You guys think that is funny but I was at a cheesey Oktoberfest over the weekend and there was a craft show in the other room in the convention center. My wife had to go through it before we left. So I sat in a chair and waited but not before seeing one booth near the entrance that was actually selling cowboy style hats made from cardboard beer cases. They had all the macro brands. It was surreal. And they were charging $12.00 for them! I was flabbergasted. The Oktoberfest was very cheesey. They only had Becks beers and were out of Becks Oktoberfest. So I chose not to drink. We were passing buy the convention center and saw the sign for Oktoberfest so we thought we'd get a late lunch. The Food was the worst I had seen at any Oktoberfest so far this season as well.

No offense taken, of course, I was just being facetious (is that really how you spell that?). Unfortunately, they've discovered that they neglected to set me any work at all this term, so I have just had some dumped on me, meaning the beer festival is going to have to wait until tomorrow night.

I wondered what kind of yeast they used on it, gives it an odd flavor. There is NO hop bitterness or flavor, just ALOT of malt. The beer is very sweet, not suprsing given the 14.5% alcohol content, but they have used a wide range of ingredients in it, including what tastes like alot of turbinado sugar (I noted that6 on the label when buying), and it shows. I got raped for $10/bottle, and split it with my brewing partner. Half a bottle still made me feel great. I probably will not buy this again, I didn't like it or dislike it, but the price was worth it for a one-time intresting experience. Better to grab a bottle of Maharaja Imperial IPA....more my speed. Now that I think of it, if you like Belgan trippels and quadruppels, you'll enjoy this. let me know what you think, though I recommend drinking on a weekend due to the strength of the beer.

Nope. Not sure if it's still available, but Natty Boh Ice is officially the worst "beer" on the planet. It fueled the only college rugby party we ever had where there was beer left over at the end of the night, and this is coming from a crowd that would routinely go through 5-6 30-packs of Schaefer and Schaefer Light with gusto. In fact, it's level of foulness is so rank that if I had to pick my 5 least favorite beers of all time, I'd have to leave the other 4 spaces blank just to be fair to Steel Reserve, King Cobra, Natural Ice, and the rest.
And as far as busting on college kids or the uninitiated for their lack of taste, if I'd had the $40-50 I now drop every weekend, let alone the $200/week it would probably cost me to drink what I do now the way I did back then, I certainly would've passed on the Schaefer Light. It's a matter of survival, not choice.

LOL... when I was in a dorm I was at a few parties where you have to choose between natty and pabst, these were the parties where I drank jack and coke.
