My Kegerator is leaking from the tap area. I have reseated the tap adjusted the PSI from 12 to 10 and checked all my o rings but still have a leak. Any other ideas about this im tired of my beer ending up in the bottom of my fridge.

Thanks

so - it's leaking from the coupler?

What kind of beer is in that kegerator.

could it be leaking from the pressure relief valve? i don't know if it can or not but it may be worth checking out.

Feyerman, where specifically is it leaking? from where the coupler physically is in contact with the keg, or some other place? those o-rings on the bottom of the coupler are replaceable, (here's one place (http://www.superprod.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=514966&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=144048))... good luck!

i cant tell for sure but i think its leaking from futher inspection from the very top around the tube for the actual beer flow. I went ahead and ordered an new "d" Coupler for my system hopefully it will fx it. Im thinking that there may be a flaw I did buy most of the system via ebay. I even trytied teflon taping all my threads and thought about putting in some silicon but decided id rather have tasty leaky beer than nasty deadly nonleaky beer. I should know later this week if it fixes it. This is even keg #2 on the system so its not a bad keg seal unless i got 2 bad kegs.

Can you see exactly where the beer is getting out? Usual culprits for this are near the tailpiece (connects the beer line to the coupler). Make sure that is screwed in tight to the coupler and there is a black rubber washer. Also make sure there aren't any chips in the metal of the tailpiece. Finally, make sure your beer line is clamped down tight.

Replace all o-rings and gaskets and the lube with food grade glycerin.

It will cost you only a few bucks to do so and should solve the problem and alleviate the loss of beer and the headache. If it does not then you know you have a bigger problem and will most likely need to replace the sanke handle.

PS-have you checked your duck bill and ball valve?

I think I know where its leaking. Its coming from the beer line its self. I dont think my wingnut is clamping down light enough or if theres supposed to be a washer in there there isnt one. I wrapped it in a paper towel and now its soaked ( in a matter of 3 hours). So I guess ill be looking into a new line. I even tried teflon tape but that didnt do the trick either

Do you have a photo of the affected area?

Try putting a little dish soap in water and spraying on all flanges and valves. You'll be able to locate it easily this way. Thanks can go to the PSE&G Nuclear Power Plant in Hancock's Bridge, New Jersey. This is what we used for leak tests on gas lines in the plant. And who said nuclear power was unsafe?
