It is Saturday and I am drunk again! Why? Damn John Courage. One of the few reasons I love England is this beer! Anyone else had it? Like it? :D

For every individual taste, you are going to get a different answer. That said, here's mine.

Courage is okay, but there are a lot better. I just tried the Harvey's Tom Paine Ale and loved it. Same style but a lot more interesting.

Courage is a rather mediocre beer and the only brew of merit is their Director's. This is available on draught in the UK and in bottle elsewhere.

The bottled version is not bottle-conditioned and there are far better examples of English beer.

We used to get Charles Wells Bombardier over here. I have not seen it in while though. We do get some decent English beers from some fine English breweries on occasion. Living in suburban Washington DC is a plus because what Virginia does not get, D.C. or Maryland will probably get and vice versa. We do have an amazing selection to choose from.

I'm drinking John Courage amber right now. Not the greatest beer, but in my top twenty five. The manager at the liquor store recommended it. After the Oktoberfests it seems a little weak, but I have to save it for summer when it seems better suited.

I got to have a few bottles and I think some on tap of John Courage when i was visiting a freiend in Richmond, VA. Not sure if it was the margarittas I had before or what, but I really liked the stuff! Then I get back to the Midwest and can't find it anywhere. I do occasionaly run into a place that carries it and I usually end up cleaning them out, but I wish it was more readily available.
