View Full Version : How many days a week
Just wondering if I'm the only weekend warrior. I drink on my days off Saturday & Sunday.

I have a beer just about every day, but I've sure cut back from the quantity I used to quaff. Amazing what a doctor's scorn and a woman's influence will do for you! ;)

Yeah, I may go everyday--some days more than others--then might go through an extended dry spell. Sometimes, after getting really beat up at work, there's nothing like a Wednesday afternoon beer or two.

Some days, I'm simply too tired to enjoy a beer and I just want to go to bed. Other than that, I try to have one every day - good for my circulation, you know. :)
I think I average 13 out of 14 days with a beer. Sometimes I get burnt out and will have a 3-4 break, but most days will find a beer somewhere near me.

With me I'm very conscious about the amount I spend each month on beer. My wife smokes, but she has an amount she is allowed to spend on her cigs. So I limit my purchases to a certain amount for beer. If I were to drink my inventory during the week it would leave me less for when I really can enjoy it the most.
I could drink 7 days a week if I were to replace some of my micro purchases with cheaper macro. I did this for awhile, but I just cannot hardly stomack the macro stuff anymore. I have chosen to drink only quality beer even if that means I don't drink everyday.

Not sure what my average is. Many nights I drink nothing but then the last 2 nights I made up for it at the two German Festivals I attended.

One a day on work days, usually with dinner. Maybe two or three on non-work days. If its more than one, I spread'em out pretty good.

It's hard not to drink everyday when I open my fridge and the top shelf is nothing but beer.

Just about every day for me. Sometimes I will lay off for a few days if I'm run down from working or plain not in the mood. In weeks leading up to a major taekwondo event I'll cut off completely.
If I could I would change my vote to three days a week. I tried two but I just cannot not drink on friday. Almost nothing gives me more joy that coming home from a week of work and enjoying a great brew. I have learned it almost impossible with me to postpone that to Saturday.

I like to drink every time I eat.
No surprise, considering that I come from a land where one starts drinking right after breast-feeding stops.:D

I probably drink 5 days a week on average. The real question would be how many beers based on 5% ABV do you average in a week...
I cant imagine that someone could be really into good beer and only drink 2 or 3 days a week! That seems illogical to me. I guess its because to me there are two ways of drinking. Theres the drink a beer or two with dinner or lunch drinking and theres the go out and have a good time and drink type of drinking. Between the two of those types I definitely hit about 5 times a week.

My job makes it possible to only drink a couple days a week. State law doesn't allow me to consume alcohol within eight hours of work and since I work graves this means that unless I manage to have one by 2:30PM I can't have one.
Most people are surprised to find that most of my drinking is done in and right after church. We serve the Lord's Supper as a full potluck meal and usually serve wine, a glass each (for adults) rather than a thimble, served during the meal and finished at the end. After church I usually break out a couple of homebrews or craftbrews. We, of course, drink with extreme moderation, but everyone really enjoys it.

I'm in a similar predicament. Working 3rd and not being able to drink within 12 hours of my shift pretty much wipes out any chance to imbibe during the work week. Upside is that it helps my stash last longer.

My drive home goes past at least a dozen "Happy Hours" and two stores that sell decent quality singles. There is also something wrong with the steering in my truck that causes it to veer into parking lots. I'm forced to wait for at least 1 hour (2 beers) before it behave itself.

I usually only drink on fridays and/or saturdays. I'm really limited by my budget (being a poor college kid!). Most of what I drink is cheapass beer at college parties (nasty lite and bud lite mostly eeww!), but if I have a spare couple of bucks I'll go get a bomber of something and take that with me to the parties, and let a couple of people try some sips - I'm trying to turn more people onto good beer. Every once an a while I'll have a brew or two on wednesday as a mid-week treat for myself if I've got all my studying done. Luckily I discovered homebrew a few weeks ago so I'll have some good homebrew to take to the next couple of parties :)
Thanks to everyone here, you're all so helpful and friendly!

I had a few yesterday and last evening. Was at Shirlington Cap City, RFD, Chop House and Gordon Biersh Downtown. If I Averaged out the days by the number of beers it might add up to about 2 a day but the reality is that often I drink nothing and then on days like yesterday I'll have 8. But that is few and far between.

I second that - I drink beer every day - mmmmmmm! Beeeeer!
My wife and I used to own a bar so you get used to consuming large quantities of hard alcohol because it is so readily available and at your fingertips (very dangerous business) - We got rid of the bar and now we just enjoy a few fine brews instead and we are much happier with just that. It’s even better when its your own brew :D

now, if I worked from home that would be easy... and probably not too good for my business in the long run... but if I could bring a bottle with me to work and drink it at lunch... well that would just kick arse!

I drink one to two Beer a day and as I only drink the more expensive (Better Tasting, more flavorful) beers that is plenty for my budget. But why drink it if you dont like the flavor.

The work schedule is pretty inconsistent for me, so I can't get a set amount of drinking days. Most weeks, I will go out to the local pub a few times a week, maybe 3 if I am lucky. Then I have my own stash which I will get into once or twice a week. Average is probably 4 days a week.
As for being the poor college guy goes, I feel the pain of that man, since I am one myself. I pick up a few bombers when I can, but money is known to be tight for parts of the month.
