I was checking out whats going on at my favorite brewpub and found out about this great event.

Thurs., Oct. 20, 8-11pm: Rock for Reading - Goose Island Wrigleyville
Join Rock for Reading at Goose Island Wrigleyville to fight the rising trend of illiteracy and renew interest in reading.

Date: Thursday, October 20th

Where: Goose Island Wrigleyville, 3535 N. Clark Street, 773.832.9040

Time: 8:00-11:00pm

$20 donation per person (beer and wine is on us!)
(all donations are tax deductable to the extent allowed by the law)

I know alot of my students have problems with reading and some of them have reached the 4th grade without even knowing the alphabet. This should be a great way to drink some great beer and help out Chicago area kids.

Goose Island is the premier Chicago Brew Pub(s) and whatever is on the lines that night will be served. If you click to that link you can find a listing of the beers on tap at each of the pubs right now - probably be different come the 20th, though.

Anyone thinking they might make it down? I will definetly be there, it would be cool to meet some of you guys .
