Brian has gone Oktoberfest crazy. Out of his 14 draft lines 5 are or will be Oktos:
Ayinger
Hofbrau
Dominion
Otter Creek
Paulaner (as soon as the Fordham kicks)
Had the four that were on last night. All in good nick, the Ayinger is probably the best. Most surprising was how well the Dominion held up when compared to the real Germans. It wasn't as melonoidiny (just made that word up) as it could've/should've been and a bit hopier than the style normally presents but still very good indeed. The Otter Creek was terrible IMO, but I've never really been a fan of their beers. Trying it in context of the other 3 might have made it seem worse than it acutally is.
For those who care the Ayinger and Hofbrua are served in proper glassware (.4l for the Ayinger and .5l for the Hofbrau).
