Hello everyone,
I Just wanted to make you aware of our new product and website.
www.beerhugs.com (http://www.beerhugs.com)

I personally came up with this great product and really believe once you try it you will never want to drink out of a bottle again. This really is luxury at its best for the serious beer drinker!

Here is some more info. Thanks for your time and please spread the word :) Thanks, Geoff (President of Beerhugs)

Beerhugs is the only glass mug with an insulated handle. Your beer stays icy cold while our handle stays warm and dry. In test studies, our handle was nearly five times warmer than mugs without one. So, say goodbye to cold, wet hands forever!

Our grip is permanently adhered to the handle and is dishwasher; freezer safe. Any logo can be printed on the glass -- from sports teams to colleges to corporations -- making it perfect for bars, restaurants, colleges and individuals.http://www.beerhugs.com/images/site_images/bhm-color-md.jpg

I like my beer cool but not frozen and I never drink from a bottle. I prefer the 20 oz. Imperial nonic most of the time. Interesting idea you have though.

nice idea - but I normally use a room temp or warm glass

I certainly appreciate the fact that many prefer their beer "room temperature". There are also many that prefer a nice cold frosty mug to enjoy their beer out of as well.
I do want to, however, address those that enjoy room temperature beer and discuss some other benefits to our product. The special mug can still be used for this purpose and is enjoyable because it has a nice solid grip. So putting aside how cold you really like your beer please consider enjoying your beer with a mug that offers a nice grip. To make my point another way consider using a hammer without a cushion grip and a hammer with just the metal. You can certainly get the job done but I think most would agree its nice to have a nice grip to hold on to. BeerHugs simply makes the drinking experience all that more enjoyable by letting the beer drinker hold on to a nice luxury grip versus holding onto the glass handle. I think all serious beer drinkers, cold, or room temperature can agree to having their enjoyment raised to a higher level. Best Regards, Geoff

The price is under $10 per mug if you buy a 4 pack. We have found the majority buy a 4 pack to get the reduced savings and have extra in the house for when friends come over for a cold one :)

Comes to $13 per mug when you include shipping. 3/10 a mile drive to Bed Bath and Beyond gets me $2 per 16oz Pub Glasses w/ cool New York City Metro printing.. :)

I thought beer hugs were when you were sloshed and your best friend walked into the bar and ....

Anyway... Those mugs are so.... small.

I have some liter mugs, but the handles never get cold and I haven't noticed any heavy impact (like you'd get with a hammer) being transferred to my hand while drinking from them.

I'll have to pass.

Give a set of Beerhugs as a gift or try them yourself, and you’ll see why we are the No. 1 choice for beer lovers everywhere. HA! Everywhere except for realbeer.com apparently.

Something that may not be apparent to our esteemed guest is that different beers taste better out of particularly shaped vessels. Straight sided cylinders are appropriate some of the time, but certainly not all of the time, or even half of the time. Here (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/101/glassware.php) is a good resource for helping to choose the appropriate glassware for a particular beverage.

Oh yeah - did we say welcome to the board? No? Then, welcome!

The only beer vessels I own with fairly straight sides are my 1L Krugs... and I can't remember the heavy glass handle ever getting that cold. I usually use a nonic or a tall pilsner glass. And many of mine came from IKEA for dirt cheap.

I always appreciate someone trying to inform me of a new product, but these don't appeal to me. Looks like someone went to Home Depot and slapped some of that $1.50 pipe insulation on... and I'm wondering how they'll hold up to repeated washing and sanitation.

Curious... what is IKEA?

A Scandinavian department store that usually has cheap but modern furniture. Mainly of suspect quality.

Can't blame him for trying. High marks too for not spamming this all over the boards.

One who enjoys beer ice cold might find a spouse who will lift the glaas to thier lips thus not having to get cold wet hands.
