Having this tonight. Oh man, I am in HEAVEN! Anybody else have experience with this particularly tasty brew?

Yeah, its a good one. Didnt they brew this with the help of Garrett Oliver? Or am I confusing this with something else? At first I wasnt sure I liked it, but it grew on me big time.

Yes, that's exactly right.
Really good. Complex and dark, reminded me a bit of a porter.

I thought porter, too. GREAT brew - pricey, though

Have not tried it yet. But I want to. Which local paint store did you get it from?

It would've been from Chevy Chase, no doubt. Last time I was there they still had it on display so it should still be available there.

WF in Vienna had it as of last night (9/20) at $6 a bottle.

Thanks! That is easily within my realm. I have been going to the Annandale WF as of late because it is closest to my office and Jim Dorsch is now overseeing their beer section. But I like the Vienna store better.

Manchester Star Ale is listed on BA as an English Porter. Apparently they agree with you!

I was trying to reiterate the price. I get it for $5 here, though

It's going to be here in Ft. Collins by the end of the week. May have to add yet another beer to my porter list! :)

I said it's pricey, I forgot to mention it's worth it!

When I first started to visit Manchester they had Hydes, Holts, Lees and Boddingtons - all wonderful and very cheap by London standards.
Now Boddingtons is no longer brewed in Manchester and the drink that is sold under its name is just a very ordinary mega-brewery beer, thanks to the multi-national brewery that took them over.

Got one today! They sell for $6.49 a bottle, though... a little cost prohibitive, but if you guys say it's worth it... :D

for that price it may be cheaper to have me buy a case and personally deliver it to you in exchange for a beer tab in Fort C
