I'm sure like a lot of people, we are finding any way possible to help out on the Katrina disaster. Here's something easy to do:

Old Dominion is donating $0.50 of each growler they fill this month to hurricane relief. In addition, they will be sponsoring some kind of benefit dinner on the 25th of September.

Nice!!!It's great to see such an outpouring of relief throughout this great nation.

I see that there is an effort on DCbeer to collect donations from some of our local beer cellars and hold an auction to raise money for the relief effort.

I just got the details for the OD event at the Brewery:

Hurricane Relief Dinner at the Brewpub

We will be hosting a casual, buffet meal at the Brewpub to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina and the flooding along the Gulf Coast. Dominion employees will donate their time for the event, and all proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund. Come out and enjoy a casual Sunday afternoon meal, watch some football, and help victims of this tragedy.

Date: Sunday, September 25, 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include all food and beverages.

Tickets are available at the Brewpub or on our ebsite. Please note that the Brewpub will be closed on this day

:( I'll be at the beach that day. I've got house guests that weekend. But my company is making donations. Are you going Kinjar?

I'm planning on it. Sounds like it will be a pretty open event, so bringing the toddler along may not be a problem.

Having been to other "casual buffet" functions there, it sounds like it is going to be a great event, even if it wasn't for a goood cause. I'll just have to make sure I get my $50 worth of Oak Barrel Stout
