Attached please find information about the First Annual Baltimore Crab and Beer Festival to be held on Harbor Point, Fells Point, Baltimore, MD, on September 17. Boy that sounds like fun, wish I was still on the other coast.
Lived in VA in the tidewater area and use to by live crabs, steam then and enjoy an afternoon of eating and drinking. Also when I was a kid my uncle use to go to the bay in the wee hours of the morning and return by noon and have a crab boil for the family. Lived in NJ at the time. Us kids use to race the crabs. :D

In my experience, the beer always came before the crabs:p

Actually the best way to steam crabs in over a boiling mixture of beer and vinegar (and some Old Bay of course!). Never use water!
