This is probably the best damn beer brewed in TX. Of course, its all personal preference.
Anybody else think this beer is a gift from the gods?

I keep a half barrel at all times in my (garage kegerator) and a carboy of Fireman #4 Ale in the (kitchen kegerator).

If you haven't brewed this before, it's well worth it!

Damn skimpy! I love this beer! I brewed AHS's rye ale and it turned out really good, but I havent tried this Fireman #4. I'll have to put it into the line-up. Welcome to the boards.

It *is* a very good beer... Some folks don't care for the 'spicyness' of the rye, tho!

A friend sent me some of this in a trade. I love Rye ales, Terrapin being my favorite, but Full Moon is also quite yummy.

Fireman #4 is now available bottled, as Alamo Golden Ale. Good stuff. But not as good as Full Moon. De-lish!

I've had this beer! I think I had it at the Gingerman in Austin. It was heavenly! Isn't only available on draught?

Are there any other U.S. rye beers? I can't remember off-hand. I've had one here in Prague and it was also heavenly.

Fireman #4 is only draught, as I understand. Alamo golden ale is bottled.

There are several rye ales here in the states. Terrapin Rye, as TOBP Steve mentioned, is also delicious. Redhook makes SunRye, but it's a pale imitation of Full Moon and Terrapin. I'm sure there are others, and if memory serves, there's also a Canadian Rye Ale (Warthog, maybe?) brewed by Castle Rock or something like that, out of Calgary.

That must be Big Rock. I like their beers, what I've had, anyway.

Big Rock, that's it! There's a very nice brewpub in Castle Rock, Colorado (The Rockyard, if you're curious) that I was probably thinking about when I posted that yesterday.

full moon pale rye is in my humble opinion the best beer from texas and one of the world's finest. #4 is another winner. have you tried the live oak products?

I'm shopping for a kegerator for my husband's birthday. Any advice?
