Just wondering if anyone is going to this. I plan on being a server but as of yet that has not been confirmed. If so, I will gladly help anyone here.:D

How kid friendly is this? That is the only thing holding me back from going to things like this.

Back in the day there were many kids but if you visit the site, this year it states you must be 21. The ABC is VERY involved in their affairs. Now the Alesmith party this weekend............... I bet that'll be cool.

My name is in as a pourer. I will find out which brewery I have been assigned to and let everyone that's not going know. Y'all can get special service. Too bad no one is going. Heard that the first session has only 1000 tickets sold. Should be fun.

For all y'all that don't care.. we had a blast. I was scheduled to be a Stone pourer ( their usual fare, NOT the biggies, they stopped that at VI ). I found the cask ( hand pump ) set up and for some reason I was drawn to it. Awesome. Had the 9th on cask and, after a pale ale with coriander, had the Oaked Bastard. Very much enjoyable. Wish I coulda met some of y'all. Maybe next year?????

That event sounded great! I was stunned by your avatar, did Pizza Port really discontinue Frank's Double. Last time I was there I picked up a six pack of Franks. That is/was my favorite double IPA. I'm still trying to clone it, any word on why they stopped brewing it.
Say it ain't so!

Not to be picky ( or obnoxious ) but it only comes in a 4 pack, and yes, the brewer is gone and so is the name. Solana beach has Hop 15 and and San Clemente has their dbl ( forget the name ) which are somewhat similar but for some reason I loved Frank's. Wish anyone coulda been at Stone. If you go online to Stonebrew.com and check out the session B blog, check the 2 people with the cask Oak Bastard. Unfortunately I didn't get my beautiful mug on the blog but I was the one pouring the cask. Had an absolute blast.

thanks for the info, sorry to hear that. Actually, I got a sixer of it along with a sixer of the shark bite when I was there, guess I got lucky.

Yeah, you musta got there when they just started selling it cuz I have only been sold 4 packs, at $11.25 a pop ( or $55 a case ). I'm jealous. I also am heart broken.

Actually they just started and were having some bottling issues. They only had six bottles and he gave them to me for $8!
It's the best double IPA I've had. I just moved to Seattle, so my chance at another PP beer are slim to none. No shortage of beer up here, but PP is still my favorite for IPAs.

Ahhh Hop you will, you will. Someday we shall be pouring at an Anniversary together ( you can have Curta$$ ). As long as my name is on their volunteer list........Dminnery, glad to have a man with taste on board. I figured you hit PP right when they started bottling the stuff. Ya need to try the Pliny's, Elder and Younger ( if possible ). Seattle eh.. I've been to Vancouver but never Seattle. Someday.

I used to frequent Lucky Baldwins every Friday after work before we moved up here a couple months ago. I was lucky enough to try the Pliny's on tap at LBs. Both excellent, I brewed a Pliny the Elder clone that came out great. It called for an obscene amount of hops!
Just found a great paint store nearby, www.bottleworks.com
Have a great pub nearby, within walking distance, that has a great selection of NWest beers. I'm enjoying all the new beers out there.
CHEERS!
I like your reference to Duchamp, if that is the case.

Lucky Baldwin's !!! Woohooo. O.k. so you know the local scene. Wish I had anything within walking distance. Brewing an Elder clone is awesome. Wouldn't expect anything less than a bucketfull of hops for a 5 gal. Yummmmm.. as for Duchamp?????
