The Speakeasy Annual Anniversary Party is this weekend!

SoS and I went last year and enjoyed all the free beer we could drink (including supah secret Double Daddy double IPA), bbq, bands, and all the free beer we could drink. :D

It's this Saturday, Aug 20, from 1-5 PM.

Hey Jinja, I thought of you yesterday cuz I went to the paint store and saw a bottle of Lagunitas Gonzo. Have you had it? Did you see the event in Colorado? Anyway, just asking. Oh yeah, I AM jealous of all you NCal guys that get to go to all these fun fests. I only have a couple. One's coming up shortly though.

Sorry L.H.H.H.Brown, it's been a while since I was here so I didn't mean to ignore you.

I did try the Gonzo Brown when it was released and thought it was a little on the bland side, but I really like the new Cappuccino Stout in 22's right now. I need to try the Imperial Red again, too - can't remember it at the moment. I don't know about the event in Colorado.

My fiance StarOnStage also went all over creation (well, the East Bay) to track down Lagunitas B3K which was surprisingly difficult to find. He found one store in the East Bay who had some, and he and a friend went a bought like a case.

Be careful of the B3K. It states an o.g. that does not jive with the abv stated. I tried one and I believe it may get better with age.
have a blast at the Speakeasy. I have to wait til Dec 2nd for the Pizza Port Strong Ale fest.
