Used some super old extract... think my beer will be okay?

I got an ale going last night and used a can of extract that I have had for a couple of years... i dunno why I used it, didn't really need it, as I had some NW extract that was plenty for a nice Ale....


Anyways, think it will be alright?

the can is sealed from air and light, yesno? as long as it was not horribley mistreated (lit on fire, sent to the moon and/or bottom of the ocean, etc), should be fine.

anyway, sounds to me like your brewing an old ale. get it? old extract makes old ale?! ha!

I agree that it should be fine. I used to work for a restaurant supply store that operated a Home Brewery franchise.HB now defunct. We had bags of extract that were infected thaqt we froze until we got credit. I thawed them, boiled them and had perfectly good beer.
