:p There is a micro-brewery I like in South Lake Tahoe, they have a strong ale called, Kick Ass Ale! Good stuff, but potent... I bought a growler of it, and took it home to my In-Law's house figuring my Father In-Law would help me consume it. He wanted nothing to do with it, he was sticking to his nasty Coor's Light... So, being the conscientious beer consumer I am, I drank the whole half-gallon by myself! Wow, talk about FUBAR, definitely kicked my ass!!!

You get around huh. That brewery is the bomb and in winter they have a great barleywine. Good pizza too.

:D Yeah, I like to travel and visit family and friends... I grew up in Malibu Lake Ca. It's in the canyon between Agoura Hills and Malibu. Yeah, Tahoe Brewery has awesome pizza along with their beers. I like to sit out under the pine trees at the picnic tables, during the summer when "Hot August Nights" is going on in Reno and watch all the hot rods taking the scenic route into Reno through Lake Tahoe!

I was at The Brewry in Tahoe last May and had the chance to sample their beers. They were having problems with their amber but the rest were quite good.

I would be ecstatic if the place I went to had problems "only" with their amber. Heck, I usually don't touch the amber. But "Doc" I've been meaning to say, since you've hit Redondo and other far reaching places, what about SF?? You're closer to there and they have quite a few beer joints. I used to get a Celebrator and see all the places I could stop on the way from LA to wherever I was going. Santa Barbara? Pismo Beach and vicinity? I must admit though, the Tahoe joint is on the "better" part of my list.

:( I haven't been up to San Fransico since I was about 16... Definitely want to go again. There, plus Ft. Bragg and the to see my "Uncle David and Aunt George..." and to hit the micro-breweries there! Since I'm going that far, I might as well go see my little Bro up in Seattle and my bud up on Victoria Island, in Victoria B.C. Canada! That trip would have to wait until next year though, I'll have to save up some $$ and my vacation time...

Fort Bragg!! Oh man, North Coast. I have gone twice to Burney Falls which is straight inland from there ( or close ) but to get there ...... I wanna so badly but my wife would kill me. Now if I had a honeydew weekend in SF then went up the coast....
Just keep cheking out new places and report them here. :D I'll let ya know if I've been there afterwards.
