There's alot of good beer to be had here, but I'm still looking for one of those places with a "All our drafts are $2!"-type HH, or at least some deal to keep me coming back each week.

Contenders:

Dr. Dremo's features one beer each Tuesday for $1/pint, and last week it was Stoudt's ESB, but Dremo's just doesn't work for me. I try to like it, but can't.

Rockbottom features $1/pints on Wednesday - if you can manage to make it in.

RFD has one beer discounted for happy hour...

I'd go to Founder's more, but they're sticking to the $3.75 HH price point.

The Reef does $1 off during HH, but there prices are admittedly a bit high. As a nod to the locals, if you live in zip code 20008-20010 you always get 10% off. BTW they have a new chef in and have tweaked the kitchen, the meal I had there the other night was top notch, the corn soup with Dungeness crab was aces.

The Common Share has cheap beer, I believe everything is always $2 or maybe $3 but the place is forever packed and the beer choice ain't much (Guinness and Sierra might be the height of the excitement).

The District Chophouse usually designates one beer a HH special but I can't remember the price or the HH time parameters.

DC and environs really isn't much of a happy hour town.

Not certain if they have HH pricing but the Local Sweetwater Taverns are always crowded at the bar every evening.

$1 beer AND free pool!! I mean how can you turn it down really? Plus you can always walk up to Four Courts when happy hour is over at Dremos.

Check out http://www.dchappyhours.com/ It has a pretty good list but keep in mind this is all publically submitted stuff so some of it is bogus (like the all you can drink for $1.50 at Whitlows...)

One recommendation I would make is any Tuesday at Bohemian Caverns where they have the Belgian Beer Happy Hour (http://www.bohemiancaverns.com/calendar/public.cfm) featuring (often) half off of some seriously good beligian beer from their list (http://www.bohemiancaverns.com/BeerList.pdf) .

We went to David Greggory (21st and M) for a Restaurant Week lunch last week and I noticed that they have a happy hour 4:30-7:30 M-F. Beers were $3.75 though :(.

I wouldn't have even remarked on it except for the fact that they had some decent beers on tap: a couple DFH offerings (60 Min. + I think Aprihop) plus a few more micros that I can't remember for the life of me. Their website lists DFH 60, Red Seal, and Eggenberg pils, but I swear there were at least 6-7 taps. Good, cheap bar snacks too.

Oh, and they hold HH until 10:00 on Tuesdays, which REALLY made it stick in my mind
