We've had some scheduling issues surrounding our tastings, so i just wanted to get an idea of whether our first saturday of the month idea was still good for people, or whether there is a consensus for something else.
please post any comments you have.

weeknights would be great - and since no one has sugested yet - I'll say they should be on wednesdays.

I can usually make them and have only missed a couple. But I think a weeknight might be easier for most folks.
I really recommend that everyone who has not..attend one of these. Not only are they fun but educational as well. It is informal and a great way to think about what you are sampling. I have re-tasted beers that I sometimes passed up and have come away with a different opinion. I recommend attending these.

i would be happy with a weeknight too-- the only problem is the east coast/west coast time split. but maybe that isnt a problem?

I have more of a problem finding the beer than finding the time.

I have yet to make it to one of these, but I would love to! I have the same problem Hoagie does, though. Did we already do the Scheider Weisse? Is it Scheider or Schneider??

I put in weeknight with the times suggested, but I'd go later (or earlier) if needed. It's only one day a month that I'd be up late (though I'm usually up until 11 EDT/EST, anyway). I just know I have the best chance of being around on a weeknight.
I'd vote for Tues or Thursday, but any is okay with me...

we haven't done schneider weisse yet, so try and look for it and hopefully you can make the next tasting.

I voted for the same time as before, although I've never actually made it to a tasting. weeknights after 7PST would work as well.
Gotta get to bevmo and see if they have the schniederweisse

Tuesday night, 6P/9E is my best time, I think. And I'd only be about 20 minutes late coming home from teaching. Monday is Bible study, Wednesday is "date night", and T/F/S is gigging @ Elway's. Guess it's nice to be busy, eh?

Tues is my bible study night so I'll never be around then - mondays, wednesdays, and thursdays would be best. Mon and thurs, the wife goes to pilates class, so those nights would be GREAT!

The answer to this depends on why your having a tasting. If the tasting is mostly an excuse for a get together any time is fine. If you are trying to compare and/or rate 6 or 7 IPA's ect , the best time is 3 to 4 hours after a light breakfast . As long as you have cleaned your mouth, brushed your teeth and not eaten or drank anything but water your taste buds will be at their best.

the point is to try to find a time when the most people can make it. If you can't make it, the best thing to do is read the log of the session while drinking the beer reviewed.

I could do it any weeknight. If it starts a 6 pm Pacific, I'll be about an hour late.
