Anyone have a good hefe weizen recipe?

weizens are pretty easy, it's all about the yeast. I've made NB's Hefe Weizen (http://www.northernbrewer.com/specialtybeers.html) kit back in my extract days, and it turned out quite good. look at the ingredients, it's just wheat extract, some Tettananger hops, and Wyeast 3333. quick, easy, and you can drink it in about two weeks...

100% wheat? Sounds odd to me. On the other hand, that may be why my wheat beer ended up tasting like an amber ale!

wheat DME/LME isn't 100% wheat, usually somewhere around 50% wheat, 50% barley...

50% 50% is more of an American Wheat, not sure if Willie's looking to make that or a Bavarian, which is closer to 60% 40% - wheat to barley. Yes, the yeast is a big factor, but the wheat adds flavor and body characterisitics too. Try a Hacker-Pschorr weizen next to a Widmer and you'll notice the difference.
