Hey Im going to be in Baltimore tomorrow hitting a few places. Figured I would take advantage of the time to go to a bunch of pubs and bars that I keep meaning to go to. We have a few on our list. But would take recommendations of places to go as well for those more familiar with Baltimore's pub/brewery scene. Heres what we got so far:
Sean Bolan's
Max's on Broadway
The Brewer's Art
J. Patricks Irish Pub
James Joyce Irish Pub (for the brunch)
Ryleigh's Brew Pub & Raw Bar ($2 ales 11 - 7! And $10 New Castle growlers!!)
The Wharf Rat (triple samplers $4)
Was thinking about hitting Clipper City but they dont do tours this weekend. And Ellicot City is a bit far from downtown. Any other suggestions?

That's a great tour you've got planned there. Be aware that Brewer's Art doesn't open till 5pm or so. Also the BA beers tend to be heavy hitters abv-wise so plan accordingly.
I think what you got set up is abitious for one night but if you get over Federal Hill way I recommend the Idle Hour which is an old corner pub recently renovated that features one BA product and usually two other micros. The place has a dynamite feel. Great boozer.
Max's is spectacular but I think you'll enjoy yourself much more in their upstairs "Gangsters Lounge". The large downstairs has dozens of tvs on and rock music played fairly loud. That said it's nice to sit and look at the 100s of taps and bottles (+ 2 beer engines!). To make the most of your time visit the Wharf Rat that's on the street behind Max's (there's two locations the other is near Camden Yards).
John Stevens is a great little restaurant and booze just down from the Wharf Rat. Really good draft selection.
A meal at Jimmy's wouldn't be bad either. It's an old time Charm City diner. No booze.
There's a new restaurant (or newly renovated) in Hampden called something like "East Meets West" or some such, that's nice and vibey. 3 good drafts and some nice bottles. It's on the main drag there. If you're up that way you absolutely must stop in the Wine Source (or maybe the Wine Shoppe can't remember exactly). They have a great beer selection (and liquor too) and very competitive prices. It's in a big white buidling just off of the main drag
Drink a beer in memory of DeGroens (R.I.P.).

Good grief I may need to break this up into two or three different outings at this rate...

Yeah I meant to ask whats with some of these bars doubling up locations so close to each other? Just trying to take advantage of the Camden Yards/Ravens Stadium fan crunch? I was planning to hit the two you mentioned and not the Camden Yard ones although Im not sure which is better if theres a difference. Also noticed that Sean Bolans has a second location just outside town.

I just read a rumor on Lew Bryson's site that the there's a hole where the brewing equipment was in Ryleigh's. He hasn't verified it yet, though.
