Beer in Northern Germany

My sister will be visiting Northern Germany (not sure where yet) in early September. I am quite jealous, but have convinced her to bring some beer back. I don't think I can expect a huge haul, maybe a few bottles and that's it. What is available over there that we can't get here that would be highly recommended?

My fiancee's uncle will be there in a couple weeks - I never thought of making him bring me back some "souvenirs"

There are so many regional beers that if you get some answers, that beer may not be able to be purchused in N Germany. I spent 6 years over there and some of my favorites are not found thoughout Germany, even 50 miles away.. If they can find Park's Perminator, have them bring back 1 just to say you had one.. good luck
