Just so y'all know. as of right now there will be no more Frank's Double. The brewer was released from his duties at Carlsbad and took the recipies with him. I heard it wasn't a very friendly parting so he took the recipies with him. I hope I can find where he's gonna work next. Just wanted to vent in the only place that would feel my pain. Thanks.

I'm guessing he developed the recipe before he started work there. Had he created the recipe at that brewery, the brewery would own the rights to the recipe.

Not necessarily true. Depends largely on the agreement entered into at the time of the employment offer.

I don't think he had it before. It was to honor a very popular patron ( Frank ) that loved IPA's so they made a double. Like I said the parting was not mutual ( at least my source said so ).

If he is a decent brewer, he will most likely show up somewhere else.

Went down and bought a case. They confirmed that there will be no more.:(
Maybe if the brewer gets on somewhere else............... it'll be called something else though. It took me a while to get my avatar set.
