I don't know how to get hold of it, but I think I could come up with a homemade version. Also, Ben and Jerry have a recipe for a beer ice or sorbet in their first ice cream book. I have not tried making it yet though I think it would be good.

I showed this article to my wife (who loves beer and LOVES ice cream) and now she wants
to take a trip to England to get some! I wonder if it has similar qualities to a malt, since it
IS an ingrediant...

If there any members in the Baltimore area that would llike to try a beer flavored ice cream, consider Sean Bolans. It's an Irish pub in the Federal Hill area of the city, and they make their's with Guiness. Excellent! Plus, they have a good selection micro's and imports on tap.

OK, so give us an idea of what it tastes like... is is sweet and sugary like ice cream, or is it bold and slightly bitter like Guinness? Inquiring minds want to know...
