American Beer Month Pub Crawl -- DC

Today is the first day of American Beer Month.

To celebrate American Beer Month I am planning a pub crawl. The crawl has been tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 29th.

The crawl will consist of the following fine beer establishment downtown:

John Harvard’s
Capitol City
Gordon Biersch
RFD
Chop House

The order and timing have not been worked out yet. I will send out more details as I develop them.

Hey Steve. Thanks for the info! I've been on one of these before and it was a good time. Any chance it could be on a Saturday instead (like the last time)? Fridays are difficult as I run a long way on Saturday mornings (I have a running problem).

I'd forgotten about this. As fate would have it most of July is spoken for already, but I'd do something in August. If this doesn't go off maybe we could do a realbeer dc pub thing.

This is a reminder that this year's pub crawl to celebrate American Beer
Month will take place tomorrow, Friday July 29. We will start at 5:00
PM at John Harvard's. The schedule is listed below. If you can not
start at 5:00, join us later at one of the other stops. Mike McCarthy,
head brewer for Cap City, will meet us at the downtown location. Jason
Oliver, brewer for Gordon Biersch, plans on meeting us at his
establishment. Happy hour prices will be in effect at John Harvard's
and Capitol City.





1. 5:00 - 5:45: John Harvard's, 13th Street NW between
F and E Streets

2. 6:00 - 6:45: Capitol City, corner of 11th and H
Streets NW

3. 7:00 - 7:45: Gordon Biersch, 900 F Street NW

4. 8:00 - 8:45: DC Chop House, 509 7th Street NW

5. 9:00 - 10:00: DA's RFD, 810 7th Street NW
