This from Jim Dorsh:
I haven't made a gratuitous, self-serving announcement in a while, so:
We'll be holding an All-American Beer Festival at Whole Foods Market
in Annandale on Sat 2 Jul. Details at http://
www.americanbeermonth.com/events/index.php. It says Arlington, but I
think you get the idea. Without making any promises, since you never
know what might happen, we expect to have beers from Oskar Blues, St
George, Stoudt's, Mendocino, Clipper City, The Raven, Lancaster,
Brewery Ommegang, Stone, Widmer and Shenandoah, plus our private
label Lamar Street Pale Ale, made at Goose Island.
We should be getting some fun new beers this week, including Van
Hansebrouck Gueze Fond Tradition; Weyerbacher Heresy and Prophecy;
Avery Samaels (I know nothing about this one other than it's
expensive), Twelve and Karma. I also have a few bottles of Russian
River Damnation and Dogfish Head Liquor du Malt (with complimentary
bag). Again, I now work at the Annandale store.
Once again, Greg Kitsock and I will host the Beer Gazetteer for the
Smithsonian, starting Jul 11 at the Brickskeller and running six
consecutive Mondays. This year we'll feature Russian River, Elysian,
Sly Fox, Boscos, Great Divide and Goose Island. I understand we're
all set for volunteers. Details at http://residentassociates.org/com/
