Hello, my first post and a new member. I noticed some Portland Maine beer posts and Bar Harbor. We go up to Mt Desert Island each year and I love the beers and even moreso the food at Jack Russells brewpub right on Rt3.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good lobster pound or restaurants on the island? Preferably restaurants with good beer.

I have absoluetly no clue what to find up there, but let me say welcome. If you like good beer, you're sure to find a friendly, like-minded group here.

There are indeed some good beers up there. I usually get to Maine at least once a year. Was there last October. I've eaten at Jack Russells too. Plenty of good lobster places too. I prefer to hit ones where they are set up in someones front yard. Don't forget Bar Harbor Brewing and Atlantic Brewing. And welcome to the board.
