Just wanted to mention there's a new beer reviews community in Australia, www.brew.com.au (http://www.brew.com.au).

Obviously not anywhere near as large or popular as this site, but we're hoping to build a small group of passionate folks here down under.

Feedback and comments most welcome! :)

Interesting site. Tell more about the good beers from Australia. In the States we have long been able to purchase the awful Fosters and occasionally Castlemaine. Tooheys and Tooths Sheaf Stout were once available and we do get some of the decent Coopers beers.

The craft brewery wave is just now building up, and is equivalent maybe to where the states was in the mid 80's. A few of the microbrews I've managed to sample so far have been:

- 3 Ravens Blonde (http://www.3ravens.com.au/)
- Snowy Mountains Razorback Red (http://www.snowymountainsbrewery.com.au/aboutthebeer.asp)
- Mountain Goat Pale Ale (http://www.goatbeer.com.au/index.php?option=displaypage&Itemid=53&op=page&SubMenu=)
- Barossa Valley Bee Sting (http://www.bvbeer.com.au/DisplayHome.action)

I hope to sample product from these breweries soon:

- Northern Rivers Brewing Co ( http://www.nrbrewing.com.au/).
- Townsville Brewing Co (http://www.townsvillebrewery.com.au/ourbeers.asp).
- 2 Brothers Brewery (http://www.2brothers.com.au/)
This last one is the old Times Square Brewery (http://www.timessquaresigns.com/brew.htm) that was moved lock, stock, and barrel to Melbourne (http://www.beerguide.com.au/forums/blog/ale-tales/index.php?showentry=22).

Anyway, just letting you know there's some Australian microbrews here (http://www.microbrewing.com.au/). Its not all Victoria Bitter, Carlton, XXXX, or Foster's.

A followup... some Aussie beer sites:

Beer Guide Australia (http://www.beerguide.com.au/the-beers/)
Australian Beers (http://www.australianbeers.com)
Taste Beer (http://www.tastebeer.com.au/)

The last one kind of cracks me up.
