Because I'm still a newbie even after all of these posts, I'd love it if those in the know around here would share their definitions of abbreviations they commonly use in conversations. I still don't know the difference between SG and OG and how they affect beer. I suppose one could say I haven't realized the "gravity" of the situation (heh, heh). I thought this would be a fun thread for people to post their own acronyms, abbreviations, definitions and the like - humorous or not. Such as:

IMNSHO - In My Not-So-Humble Opinion.

SNPA - Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Enough for now... tired brain (I mean, TB).

SG: specific gravity, the measure of the density of your wort.

OG: Original gravity, the SG of wort before fermenting.

FG: Final gravity, the SG of wort after fermenting.

TIA: Thanks in advance.

I know there are more just can't think of them all at once.

Water's density is equal to 1, right?

I thought water read zero on a hydrometer - am I not looking close enough?
