I don't see a problem of wearing a beer related shirt to work on the days that they classify as "dress down". I am not talking about obnoxious ones, but ones that are tastfully done or maybe have a small logo on the pocket of your favorite brewery. They consider this unapropriate for work, but they will allow slobby people to wear stretch pants that show (god know every crease, dent and bump) in their bodies, or droopy sweat outfits that look just simply horrible. Heck I even know a woman (no offense) that wore her pajamas to work. And no one said anything, but if I wear my Victory Polo shirt that has their small logo on the pocket I get to go home and change.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Neither. Those words don't even come out of my mouth.

Just a person who is trying to spread the good word and maybe try to convert one of the macro people over to the good side.

Apparently your freedom of speech has its limitations in a private building/business. Seems to me your choices are work through the appropriate channels to have a more clearly defined defintion of acceptable dress policy especially on dress down days, follow the dress code and do your job on a normal basis or leave the job all together in a stance on what you feel is an infringment on your rights. Constitutionally speaking, courts have supported private business in the dress code issue more so than the reverse.

I wear a beer shirt to work just about every Friday, and receive no grief from HR. I do choose which ones are appropriate, though. For instance, I wouldn't wear the one I have From Dillon Dam Brewery in Dillon, CO, because the back of it is emblazoned with "Get Your Own DAM Beer!"

I guess it's a little more relaxed in my company, or I've been flying below the radar!

I have never had a problem wearing Beer Ts to work-I can not wear my Boscos Beer Police Shirt, my Bitter Man Shirt, or my Copper Tank Beauty is in the eye of the Beer Holder-the joke around the office is how many do I have (answer is about 70).

I do limit myself to wearing 2 a week.
