OLD LEGHUMPER, from Great Lakes Brewing Co, what a classic "marketing name"....
and lovely photo of the lab, with the somkin hot chick legs...got to love that, only in America...

I also like Snake Dog, ....give me others, then find me a six pack holder to document it....Keel

Keel, I've got another batch to send soon. I picked up lots of beer on my midwest trip. Anybody else have any sixpack holders to send?

Flying Dog's In Heat Wheat. Just yelling that name helped me prevent a goal.

I think Moose Drool deserves a nod too.

Old Leghumper is not a Great Lakes beer. Old Leghumper is from Thirsty Dog.

Not that this would top any of the previous listed names, but I just finished a 'Dragons Milk Ale' from New Holland Brewing. Cool name, label, and 10% ABV!

Isn't that good stuff? I think I opened one I got from steveh the night the Aurora Borealis showed up. Although the bourbon aspect is still going to make me remember my bad experience with a bottle of JD almost 20 years ago...

Outstanding beer, I had one on tap recently. I need to find this in bottles soon.

I enjoyed it very much! My only regret is that I only had one bottle. I got it at Binnys Beverage Depot, which has several Chicagoland locations, but I am not sure about the Detroit area. They do have a web site, which i think is Binnys.com

This year's vintage, in my opinion, isn't quite up to last year's. I detected a "sour" taste that was not as prevalent before; it always has a bit of that, but I found it a bit distracting this time.

Thanks for the correction on the Thirsty Dog Brewing Co, OLD LUGHUMPER, I was having a Hennepin induced brain cramp. confusing it with the Great Lakes Brewing Co...Conway's Irish Ale, and Locktender Lager, they all black and white in color and utilized "photos" rather than "graphic

I don't think it was bottled...but how about a regular "Bitter Woman" holder? :)

I'll have more coming soon. A buddy just brought me one from Arizona. And I have a bunch that I have collected. So soon I'll send another batch.

My favorite, I think it was from the same Missoula brewery as Moose Drool, was Bear Wizz Beer. I haven't seen it for years, but remember it had a picture of a bear wizzing in the woods.

The best name for a beer was my Carrie Nation IPA. I hope she was rolling over in her grave EVERY time we pulled the handle on that tap!

Polygamy Porter from Utah - I'll bite my tongue and respect the "no religion bashing" creed on this site....

I never got the polygamy idea. I can't imagine having more than one wife nagging at me.;)

at a brewery in OC they had an imperial porter brewed with coffee called "slave driver" i thought was a cool name. but they had to change the name cuz some people took offense. damn good brew, and when i talked to the brewer he told me that he almost lost the batch, worked 16 hours on it and his boss made him turn around and come back to work 4 hours later, t'is why he named the beer slave driver, after his boss.

I saw one called Dirty Dick's Ale. I did not buy it because I know nothing about it. Anyone drink Dirty Dick's?

It's not bad, but nothing to write home about either.

Was that a San Francisco micro-brew???

Now, now! Was that necessary?

What's really scary about polygamy is, with more than one wife comes more than more than one Mother In-Law!!!
