www.beermachine.com - this what you're talking about?
Actually, that's kinda neat Instead of using sugar, they give you C02 cartridges and use the fermenter for the keg as well. Too bad it costs $90 though. Neat gift idea for someone that wanted to make beer, but didn't want all the trouble and didn't want to make his own recipes.
No idea about the quality of the product. A 7-10 waiting period for a lager sounds a little funny.
i would guess that the beer would be green in taste at the times they are talking. furthermore, a basic brewing kit sans bottles and ingredients is less than that.

Yes.... www.beermachine.com is the one.
My wife gave me one as a gift, however I was leary of the kit that all ya had to do was add water and yeast and let it go at that. So now that I own one I had to try it BUT what I did was mash some grains and added it to the mix and some dry hopping for some extra " BAM " It's now bubbling away. So I will see how it turns out. They do say you can drink it in 10 day's but I feel 10 day is not enough time, the beer would still be " green " so maybe after 10 days I'll bottle the stuff and let it condition in the fridge for a few weeks.
