hi everyone im pretty new to the brewing game -have only ever made 4 brews they are gradually getting better :)

however this time round ive added two packets of yeast (my friend was helping me he took a second packet out the cupboard and mixed it the other dried yeast that i was rehydrating)

i only noticed after it all went into the fermentation bin, the yest types are also different i think, will these factors adversely affect the process? is the pilsner likely to explode when i put it into a preassure barrel in a few days, im also using a co2 injector for the 1st time, do you think thats wise given the circumstances.

many thanks Lord F.

more yeast is not a problem, in fact it's extremely tough for a homebrewer to overpitch yeast. (the mead makers I know regularly pitch four packets of dry yeast into one 5 gallon batch, and making a starter exponentially increases your yeast cell counts, and that's a good thing...)

the fact that you had two different yeasts isn't that big of a deal, but it's tough to predict which yeast's characteristics will emerge. you'll no doubt have a fine beer, it just may not be to the exact style you were trying for...
