OK I'm really aggravated!

I forgot to prime my keg for secondary.

So I go to put corn sugar as suyrup as prime and pull the relief on my corney and get a face full of beer. Its only been about 8 days.

I've hit it with Co2 on and off about 10-15 psi but only two days did I have the gas on all the time.

I got a blast of gas first, then a foam volcano with beer all over the floor. I hooked up the tap line to catch the beer but it would not flow but got foam, no flow. I pulled the relief again and got a foam shower with hop residue (used 1 oz pellets for dry hop).

So, do I assume I am getting natural carbonation just fine and dont worry about priming with corn sugar syrup or do I have to still prime?

Also why no flow on the tap line, not enough pressure, hops stuck in the line (2 oz leaf in bag, 1 oz pellets as well) ?

Thanks.

Well it must have been a little of both. The 4th time I vented the foam finally stopped. I was able to open the keg and put in priming sugar.

So, whatever my problem was Im hoping is not really a problem. I have never seen a keg foam up like that before after one week.

sounds like it carbonated just fine between some residual sugars and the co2 you hit it with... generally when I get the "beer shower" when pulling the relief valve, it means I filled the keg too full...

if you still don't get beer, take off the post and check for a plugged poppet or dip tube, after releasing the headpsace pressure...
