View Full Version : Adding second gas line to draft system?

I recently purchased the draft system from St.Pats (upon the recommendation from the many helpful members here). Of course one keg couldn't possibly be enough, so i'm trying to figure out how to add a second gas line to my dual-gauge setup. Is it as simple as buying a single-gauge/regulator setup and pluging it into the original, or will i have to get more involved?

thanks in advance!

It depends on if you want to run both of the gas lines at the same pressure. If so, you can fabricate up a brass manifold from off the shelf parts or buy one from St. Pat's or AHS. I have a simple manifold that has 5 or 6 gas lines. If you want to run them at different pressures, you'll need a more complex rig with multiple regulators. If you're handy with such things, you can probably rig that all up yourself. I figured it would be more expensive to have someone make it for me so I picked up a second-hand CO2 tank and regulator from someone I knew that was upgrading and I just run two separate tanks. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

ahhh yes...the problem being that i'm not "handy with such things". :) I purchased a 10-pound CO2 tank, so two tanks would be more of a space issue until i create a collar for the freezer. i guess i'll try to find somewhere to buy a dual-regulator setup...from what i understand, i'll need to run the system at different pressures especially when rotating kegs at uneven intervals. thanks for your comments, Toney!
