I live in NJ and I can't get Moose Drool which is brewed in Montana. I try all kinds of odd named beers and I really need to get this one. Any suggestions?

I'd do it with you but I just recently made a trade and need to sample my trades first. Let me know if you find anyone willing to trade with you.

I can get some Moose Drool for you. Do you have anything interesting to trade in return?

Thanks DAVESARMAN!
I don't carry an inventory of anything. I drink all that I get. I live in New Jersey and there's a great beer distributor here (even though he can't get Moose Drool) but he has a great selection of beer. Personally I go for the odd named beer. They have Black Sheep Ale, Holy Grail Ale, Kelpie (made from seaweed) and many others.
I could hook you up with some of those.
What are the logistics of swapping?

Well, I've done this twice now and both times have worked out remarkebly well! We just figure out what seems to be an even trade and then ship to each other. Shipping costs should be about equal.
How about some winter/Christmas beers from local breweries from out where you live?

I'll have to check tomorrow and see what I can come up with. What method do you use to ship?

Real Beer has a good page concerning shipping beer:

I've used USPS and have never had problems as long as things are well packed and well cushioned. I don't state anything on the package concerning it's contents, and I've never run into trouble.

how about 'moosehead'?? either the beautiful, original lager or the recently re-introduced pale ale. you're from nj so it may be easily available to you - but just in case you aren't familiar with new brunswick's (canada) finest, thought i'd offer...
and what the heck is moose drool??

Moose Drool is great stuff... But they also brew some equally good other beers too, like Slow Elk, Scap Goat, and Powder Hound. The last of which I have pouring on my system right now.
Yummmm!

how about something from the Yuengling Brewery?
great, well-established PA brewery, but they distribute a lot to NJ.
as a resident of TN, i have to have my PA friends cart the stuff down to me. Slainte!

I'm in Knoxville, and other than the Smoky Mountain Microbrewery, who brews a pretty good Helles and four or five other decent beers, there's not a whole lot of stuff up here. There are some decent microbrews over in the Raleigh/Winston-Salem area of North Carolina but that's about it. Lucky for me, we have a bar near UT that keeps about 35 American microbrews on tap. If you're in Nashville I assume you've been to UFO; if not you should check it out, they have a great selection.
I must confess I don't know of any other TN microbrews, I would also be interested to know of other good beers from the Volunteer State.

UFO? You don't mean The Flying Saucer, do you? Haven't been to either one just yet. Still waiting for TIME to do what I want. Jeez.....
Just heard about a place around here called The Beer Sellar that keeps 99 int'l brews on tap. I'll check it out and give you a report!

Yes, I do mean the Flying Saucer, I always get the name mixed up. It's a very neat place with a lot of good beer. I'm up in Cincinnati working right now, and we have a Beer Sellar here; that place is great. It's the only place to find some of the famous imports on tap. Beamish from draft is just something special. Definitely go check out both of those places when you have time, I think you'll be pleased.
