This is the American Style BarleyWine kit I recieved from Austin HomeBrew... I was going to brew this weekend, but first I want to ask if ya'll have any suggestions for additions or alterations...

Speciality Grains:
2.5 lb. 2-row
1 lb. Crystal 60L
.25 lb. Special B

Extract:
10 lb. Pale Extract

Hops:
3 oz. Centennial (bittering)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)

Yeast:
White Labs- California Ale

It says the OG should be ~1.090 and the FG ~1.025

i would definately dry hop it and certainly you'll want to get a good yeast starter going for it.

fellas, is one vial enough yeast for this kit @ 1.090? the BW kit I did had two packs of champagne yeast I think.

good grief! i just realized i almost know something and have advice to share! momentus!

For 1 vial (White Labs, I assume?), I would definitely make at least a 3/4 gallon starter for it @ 3 days ahead of time IMO.
