View Full Version : finally racked my wheat

well, after 1.5 weeks of primary fermentaiton, the krausen finally fell. i racked my wheat and checked the gravity....holy cow. OG was 1.050...gravity at racking was 1.002. i am quite impressed....while green it was definitely tart tasting, which is what i was going for. added a 1/4 cup of lemon juice to the secondary and will bottle in 1.5 weeks unless the gravity is still changing (which i seriously doubt...i mean how much farther can it really drop, ya know).

so tomorrow i will finally be brewing my american pale. can't wait for that one, either. :D
