A few years back I had ran across an ale called "Flat lander's." It had an animated picture of Abraham Lincoln holding a freshly poured mug on the label. This brew was most impressionable, for it was a joy to drink at room temperature. I haven't had any brew this enjoyable before or sense. Even though, the label didn't clarify what type of ale, I determined it to be a freshhop ale. I have never came across it again, nor has anyone that I have spoken to about it knows of it. Perhaps someone out there in beer land may know of this wonderful brew, and would be able to confirm if it is still available.

This was probably from Flatlander's, a brewpub in Lincolnshire, Ill. It may have been the one-off they did for Beer Across America (made and bottled at Goose Island, actually), but it could also come from the pub. They used to, and may still well, bottle a small amount of beer for sale at the pub.

Prosit,
