Im kidding damnit. It depends on the deer your maiking. I have had beers in primary for several weeks and they have been great. my guess is that if it hasnt been months you are in good shape.

How long has it been? Many people never rack to secondary; the beer sits in primary right up to bottling day.
Secondary does help to create a cleaner tasting beer and eliminate the chances of off flavors from the trub.
bottom line....the beer will most likely be fine.
Tweek...you tryin' to scare the poor guy??...:D

Welcome to the obsession, Dynoman. This board has lots of helpful folks here, and please don't hesitate to ask any questions when the need arises.
When I first started to brew, I didn't do 2ndary fermentations so the brew was in primary for average 7 to 8 days. All was fine. Despite all the horrors you read about what can happen to a batch of beer, it's actually very hard to screw up a batch. You actually have to really put a concerted, intentional effort into it to mess it up.:)

I did a cream ale two weeks ago, and thought for sure that it would only take a week to ferment (being low gravity). I checked in on it every now and then for a week and eventually noticed it stopped bubbling. (Great.. I thought) So I didn't check on it again until a week later when I finally got time to keg it.
A week later I finally got around to getting a keg and a hose sanitized to do the transfer. When I opened the frige, I noticed it it was bubbling about every 10 seconds. I thought about leaving it alone, but since I already had the keg cleaned up and was in the "mode," I went ahead and kegged it.
Do you think I made a mistake? Should I have just left it alone for another week? Three weeks seems like a long time for a cream ale.
