View Full Version : Beer in the CO2 line
I split my CO2 line this afternoon and put two beers under pressure at once and beer got into the CO2 line and almost made it to the regulator before I blew it back out. Is there any problems associated with getting beer in the CO2 line?

it tends to gunk up (and eventually mold), especially your QD. (and why do I know this? hmmm....) immediately, it's no big deal, as long as you didn't get it in the regulator... long run, you should probably clean it out... make sure you take apart the QD, unscrew the top and wash out all the pieces. there's gaskets in there that are kinda small, so watch where they go when you pull it apart...

you might consider check valves when sharing CO...
Check valves are on the horizon, but I wanted to get these kegs carbonated and the valves are a month's wages away!

You can eventually infect your beer if it is left in the line. Not an immediate problem. But enventually you are going to want to take it all apart clean it and sanatize it.
