A Recipe For A Weekend of Fun
For the best in food, arts and beverages spend March 4 – 6th at
F.A.B. Fest in Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.
F.A.B. Fest is a world-class celebration of Food, Arts, and Beverages featuring beers, wines, gourmet foods, music, and art from throughout the globe.
The fun begins March 1st at a Tapping party at 55th Street Station. Sponsored by Orlando Brewing, The Florida Brewers Guild and 55th Street station. Taste the first drops of Olde Pelican, the official F.A.B. Fest beer brewed specially for the festival. The street party will begin at 6 pm and run until the precious liquid runs out. Live Brazilian music by Protocol, food from Café Café, Soyka, Andiamo, Sushi Siam, give-aways and good fun!
Opening night V.I.P. party in the British Pub and Soul Lounge. British Consul General Simon Davey will be the official tapper. Garrett Oliver will host a cheese and cask ale pairing. If you have never experienced this it is a must! Your taste buds will delight. A Bubbly Party will take place in the Soul lounge with champagne and Honey Amber Rose beer. Food – Delicious food and beverage pairings are the order of the weekend. March 3rd kicks it off with a Gourmet Beer Dinner at Café Ibiza in Village of Merrick Park. Renowned Brew Master and author Garrett Oliver along with Chef Colin Church will present a beer pairing menu featuring sumptuous combinations. The dinner will be preceded with cocktails at Art + Gallery and then dining under the stars in the garden. Tickets are $75. Arts – F.A.B. Fest logo designer Davis LeBatard aka LEBO is an internationally renown artist. His work graces buildings and galleries all over the world. Our F.A.B. logo is the perfect image conveying the mood and feel of the festival.
J.P. Chenet will feature a different kind of art in their pavilion…Body Painting. Every year people crowd around to see beautiful women’s bodies being decorated. Not to be missed.
Art+ Gallery is hosting Colombian performance artist Cristina Botero. Niece of Fernando Botero, Cristina paints with her body. One performance per night.
F.A.B. Fest supports local artists and musicians. Headlining the weekend are DJ Le Spam and the Allstars, Jump n’ Jive, Mantra, Protocol and many others.
