I remember that Belgian link from the past - I can now properly pronounce Gueuze! Even though I've never had a problem with Reinheitsgebot! ;)

Hey Sturm, how does "bock" sound to you? Maybe it's just a Bayerisch or Münchener dialect, but I was always hearing it pronounced similar to "book" in English - which makes it all the more confusing to we midwestern Amis always pronouncing it as Johann Sebastian .....

Oh yeah - that guy is having too much fun with the tongue-rolls!

My biggest interest was the "saaz" pronunciation. I was pretty sure but I needed something to corroborate it.

Someone once wrote it out as "zotz" for me, but I still say "sahz" most often. Maybe on that first trip to Bohemia I'll practice more! ;)

I was pronouncing it with more of a fricative "s" than "z" but now I know.
Another word I recently learned how to pronounce (thanks Stahl) correctly is urquell. According to Stahl it's, in English, like "ur-quail" where I've been pronouncing it "ur-kell"(as in the name Kelly).

My friends from Stuttgart told me "ur-kvel," damn Schwäbisch! ;)
