This is me at BJ's brewery/restaurant. Mighty fine beer that night.
7 dollars for a nice sized sampler.

Yes their sampler is very good. I like all of their beers, although their Nutty Brewnette brown ale is probably my least favorite. What BJ's was that at? I hope you also got one of their pizza's- they are awesome.

you shoulda told us you were comming out this way, there are plenty of other good places to have a few beers in orange county. not that b.j.'s is a bad place...it just wouldn't be my first choice.

A single sampler is only half that (6 glasses), you see 2 samplers in the picture.

The sampler looks bigger than it was ( camera adds 10lbs..hehe)
Also, my friend taking the picture is the owner of the other set of tasters.

Even the glasses themselves looked big... are they 6 oz.? 8?

Wait a minute. If they're 6 or 8 oz each it's like 36 to 48 oz of beer for $7. Around here you're lucky to get that in a bar for twice that much. I want to go!

Well, let's be fair - I'm not sure. But they LOOK huge, don't they?

It just so happens that the owner of the closer taster set is yours truely. I'm the one holding the camera (not pictured). So I know they are 6 oz tasters. Yep, sometimes you get lucky and get eight 6 oz tasters for $6.95. And the beer is fantastic (esp. the Jerimiah Red).

Welcome Calidrunky! Many places will have samplers I've seen them from 4 ozers up to about 8. Just depends on the place. Many will have as many as 8 beers as well. Good place to start when you go to a brewpub and then you can select your favorites to order pints of after.

That's 3 pints for $7! Jumpin' Jehosaphat! :D

Once again, price should not be a factor when it comes to good beer.

Down here in soutwest Mo there is a brewpub/restaraunt in the town of Aurora called Bootleggers. They have a sampler platter with 4 oz glasses for around $7. I and some friends went there one night to sample some beer before brewing our own first batch. Some good, some not so good, but it now seems a little pricey compared to eight 6 oz glasses for the same price!

Very true...but a bargain makes the malt all that much sweeter! :D

It certainly does... means there's more left over to buy more beer later on! :D
