This post (http://www.realbeer.com/discussions/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5957) took a turn for the worst and now it must be determined.

What the hell? I think we all should stop what we are doing and have a beer.

It may have been beer that started it

This brings up another assault on fortress BMC that's been fomenting in my mind for some time. Has anyone else heard the Swiller Lite radio commercial where Steve is having a backyard barbecue with friends and is penalized by the Swiller refs for offering a Spud Light to a "bud?"

Two of the ESPN jokers break into the voiceover as though they're calling some actual game and ramble on about how they can't believe how Steve could pull such a blunder, and that he's a disgrace to the whole Steve organization...and such.

I think it's plain obvious by this forum that Steves are, in no way, flavorless beer drinkers - of any brand. As a Steve of many years, I take serious umbrage with the Swiller Brewing Company and their inference that I see their product as a status symbol, let alone a flovorful drink. And the mere suggestion that I, or any Steve, may offer a friend the likes of an insidious concoction as Spud Light is outrageous!!

I think we RealBeer Steves should rise up and flood Milwaukee with angry phone calls, e-mail, or snail mail - maybe even sky-writing! We need to tell these pompous fools that the real Steve Organization is a force to be taken seriously, and we will not have our good name dragged through the blow-off of corn sugar dreck!

I feel better now. ;) Happy Friday!

Steve

Werd, brotha!

I commented to my wife just last weekend about how commercials always seem to use Steve as "that guy". I took umbrage. She said everyone's just jealous 'cuz Steves are cool.

Google "meaning of name Michael" or a similar search. I've known it for a long time, seeing as it's my name. Find yours - interesting to know history about yourself.

Cheers!
