I offered up my services as moderator, but will gladly relinquish to any of our culinary experts who may want to take the spatula.
As it is, I like food and beer pairings too - I introduced someone to a rich winter ale and a rich chocolate cake combo at Goose Island last month - she was delighted! But for now I'm going to sit back and watch.
BTW - anyone interested in another good food and beer book, check out the last chapters in Jackson's Ultimate Beer, they're great for planning a whole meal.
S.
PS - Meridian and Hogie, as always - if something doesn't run smooth, we'll try to change or fix it.

Hey - I'm just a noob. I'm suprised anyone even pays attention to any of my ramblings.

yay! im always looking for new ideas. i love beer with food-- in fact that's usually my favorite time for a drink. So, bring it on people!
BTW, Garrett Oliver's Brewmaster's Table is coming out in paperback soon, so for any of you who don't own it, now you really have no excuse.

Hey it's a level playing field here. And we're all prone to rambling. So ramble on and here is an early congrats for your impending 100th post. you won't be a noob much longer.

Very well said chaz - just because you don't have SENIORITY (read: over 4400 posts) doesn't mean that you don't have something worthwile to contribute! A second welcome to the realbeer.com family to you, noob, and keep 'em coming - we're all here because we love beer, and that's all you need to be a part of the festivities! :)

Oh, believe me - you're not the first to pad their post count with extra foolishness. Just ask chaz, hopjack and myself what happened the night we all realized we were within shouting distance of 1000 posts.... :D

yeah and Fret showed true class by stopping at 999 even though he was 2 or three posts in front of me. So I stopped there too. Drove Hopjack crazy. You remember Hopjack?
