Greetings from the Great Lakes State.

I'm just getting started with the whole beer trading thing. I'm looking to trade for your favorite beer that I can't get in Michigan. I have access to virtually any great Michigan brew.

Sorry I didn't see your post sooner. I'd be interested in a local brew swap. Just let me know.

No prob, tarapin. I'll look into some beers from your area and get back to you. Any recommendations/suggestions?

Anything imparticular you're looking to try? I can always throw a grab bag of six of my favorites together, if you'd like.

I suggested a winter ale or the Hoptical Illusion (IPA) from Blue Point Brewing Co. which are both fantastic. I also can get any of the Brooklyn Ales or the Secret Ale by Southampton Publick House, which is a German Alt style ale. I don't really know about beer from the Michigan area and have never had Bells. I do see it posted here quite often, is that a good suggestion?

New Holland makes some decent beers, Arcadia is not bad (I like their Scotch Ale)...depends on what style you like.
If you are adventurous, New Holland Dragon's Milk is an old ale aged in oak casks, which gives it a definite vanilla spiciness to go along with plenty of malt and some nice roastiness.
Beware, though, it is a bit pricey and is over 10% ABV...but I love the stuff (having one tonight, actually)

Actually dproctor was having technical problems with his computer and just sent my package out this past weekend, I'll let you know what I acquire when it gets here. I sent a mixed sixer of Blue Point Brewing Co.- Hoptical Illusion(IPA) and Brooklyn- East India Pale Ale

I did just receive a twelve pack of Firestone. Six of the pale ale and six of the Double barrel. Both were quite enjoyable definetly preferred the pale. That was traded for a mixed twelver of Magic Hat.

Boy, what I wouldn't do for a mixed twelve pack of magic hat.

I enjoyed going the the brewery and tasting many of the beers when I was in Burlington, but I cannot get it back here.

Don't suppose you'd be interested in any Indiana brew, would you?

Tarapin, Three Floyds IS Indiana brew. Period. It's all you need to know. Just nod your head and say, "Yes, Bruno, Three Floyds will do just fine. Whatever you say." :)

Now, get out your wallet, and remember this addr - OOPS.... sorry.....

I have had some decent beers from Lafayette Brewing which I had at Stoudt's Festival last June. One of which may have been the best beer at the fest. They are in Indiana too but juts a brew pub I believe. But like we mentioned above....Three Floyds!

And in the near future...

Bruno's Beer!

(I'm not actually going to use that name for the pub, though)

You can always stop by "bruno's basement" if your in town. There's always something on tap there.

Good question. Bruno, will you brew ales, lagers or both?
