I think I'd at least remove the rubber gasket for fear of drying out or even coming off and clogging your dishwasher. They pop on and off pretty easily, and you can usually get replacements at your HBS.
Has the subject of true cleanliness from a dish-washing come up before?

I handwash all my beer glasses - no scratching, etching or soap residue from a poor rinse cycle (which can affect head/flavor). Same true with beer bottles?
Cheers!

Well, with bottles there is no way you are going to be able to properly rinse the bottle. It just won't work. No way to get enough water in/out of the bottles.

I let each bottle soak overnight in PBW. Works great, and I just use one of those jet-sprayer thingies to rinse 'em out.

S. yeah, I'm pretty sure we've covered that before... end result of the discussion in case anyone has missed it, a dishwasher will work well to sanitize, but not to clean. and sanitizing without first cleaning is a wasted effort...

No need to remove the swing top but as mentioned, do remove all of the rubber gaskets. The plastic/porcelain will sanitize just fine in the dishwasher.
