Those who have the "collector" gene, have to scratch it ! I collect card board six pack holders to document the micro brew explosion that has occured in the US. I like to think of it as the "Milllenium Era" of America beer history. I love the artwork that is essential to being competetive when marketing microbrew beer. it helps that six pack holders fold flat for easy storage! I have had a few non collectors send me samples...Chazwicke have nearly doubled my collection, but i have found no one who would like to trade,,,mine for yours..contact me if I you fit that bill...

I once owned a Brew shack in Seattle during the micro revolution and have kept several holders from 94-97. I have duplicates from early days of NW breweries.

Welcome to the board Liquid! I have the collecting gene and I have lots of breweriana. I used to collect the sixpack holders and left many hung on the wall of a house I lived in back in 84-86. I also left over 500 different bottles from beers that I had drank. I heard the shelves and bottle collection were sold to a fraternity. There were some very early micro bottles and also some misprinted labels and some very rare beers. I wish that I had kept some of them. Anyway, I have resisted collecting any more than I already have. So all of my sixer holders go to Keelkemper.
I mostly collect Breweriana from Virgina and DC specializing in the old Robert Portner and Christian Heurich Breweries. I am a member of several breweriana collecting clubs and think it is a fun hobby. That is why I am happy to pass on collectables to those who do collect. I have derived much satifaction a from collecting as well as met many great people who are fellow collectors. It only costs a very small amount to send the sixers on. Anyone out there who has extras please mail them to those that collect. Not only are they beautiful but the are also a historic record for the future. It would be nice to have someone who has a big collection posiibly display it in the future or maybe photograph each one and publish a book / catalog.

thanks Chaz....that was a great, succient discussion of the passion of collecting. I do intend to use my collection as a documentary of the microbrew history in America. At some point, I will fully document and display them. For now I am just trying to get representative samples of all states. I got a long way to go...I wonder just how many micro breweries there are?...at least 500?

I have a number of NW micro holders that I use for my homebrews. I am not a collector, just needed holders. I drink NW micros because a) taste, b) I can use the bottles for homebrew, c) I can use the holder. If you would like some NW holders, I will gladley ship them. Let me know what you would like. After I have some more coffee, I'll go and see what I have and if my eyes are fully focused by then I'll post a list. It seems that I went to a music store yesterday looking for some strings and walked out with a new amp, which led to a late nite of beer drinking and jamming.

It is not necessary that you go to the trouble of listing each one that you have, I want them all! I currently have so few sampes from the NW that there will likely be no duplicates...We can trade, do you need holders for home brewing...or I will pay postage...I appreciate this...My ultimate goal is to collect one six pack holder from every micro-brewery in USA...Ive been studying it and that number is gonna be somewhere between 500 and 1000!...some states have lots, others like Lousianna have very few...i want to hear from you all!...
