I am currently carbonating with a carbonation stone, this is my first experience with such a beast. After carbing is complete,i want to leave the stone in the keg,do i just set my regulator at dispensing pressure and leave it?Or should i remove the stone from keg?I have a good seal on keg and don't want to risk contamination by sticking my hand in keg to remove stone.I hope this works well 'cause this carbing in 15 minute thing is great.(Took me a little longer as my beer was 58 degrees)

is the stone on your dip tube, or did you go with the BYO/morebeer stone-on-the-lid setup?

I'm guessing it's on the dip tube, otherwise you wouldn't be asking... I see a couple of options. drink some (that part is tough, I'll admit..) so your beer level is a bit lower, then pull the post, raise the dip tube far enough so you can remove the stone without being in the beer. the other option is just to leave it, which is only an issue when you want to carbonate the next keg..

It is indeed on the tube.As far as needing the stone for another keg,I am only running a 1 keg setup(I know,i am a loser)but i have a chest freezer and good intentions!Should have a 3 keg setup by spring.Maybe i will just leave the stone in keg and set at 3or4 psi.

this (http://www.morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=18212) is what I was trying to refer to... BYO had a how-to writeup a few months ago, but you get the general idea from the pic... this way, you really only need one stone, you can just swap out lids as you need to carbonate...

Seems like a good idea but i could permanantly attach one to a lid for a lot less than that price.

I've never used a carbonation stone before, but if your beer is carbonated now, you don't want to open the keg. Depressurizing your beer would not be disirable.

This (http://www.byo.com/mrwizard/1271.html) article on force carbonating doesn't relate exactly to your specific situation, but it is still good information.
