I am planning to go on a week long camping trip in late October. I would like to have a nice doppelboch to sip by the fire. Can somebody recommend a extract recipe?

As found in the "Homebrew recipes for 150 commercial beers Clone Brew" book

Celebrator Dopplebock

crush and steep in 150 degree for 20 min in 1 gallon water

12 oz german munich malt
1/2 lb 65 degree german dark crystal
5 oz chocolate malt

strain the grain water into your brew pot. Sparge the grains with 1/2 gallon water at 150 degrees. Add water to the pot for 1.5 gallons total volume. Bring water to boil, remove form heat and add:

6.6 lbs Ireks light malt syrup
3.3 lbs Bierkeller light malt syrup
1/2 lb m&F light DME
1/2 lb malto-dextrin
3/4 oz Norther Brewer @ 7.3% aa (5.5 hbu) (bittering hops
1 oz German Hallertau Hersbrucker @3.5% aa (3.5 hbu) (Bittering hop
add water until total volume in the brew pot is 2.5 gallons.

Boil for 45 minutes then add:

1/2 oz German Hallertau Hersbrucker (flavor hop)
1 tsp irish moss

Boil 15 minutes. Cool wort to 80 degrees, transfer to carboy, add water to reach 5.5 gallons.

Pitch Wyeast 2308 Munich Lager. Ferment at 42-52 degrees with the last week of fermentation at 55 degrees

OG: 1.080-1.083 FG: 1.020-1.023 IBU 24
7.6% alcohol by volume SRM 43-44
hope this helps.
