Taking a road trip from SF down to Encinitas (little south of San Diego. Going to stop into Stone for sure, where else should I go?

Thanks.

Well, a couple of the Pizza Ports, for sure. Carlsbad and San Clemente. I'll give you a copy of the Celebrator, too, and it'll give you a ton of options.

By the way, what beers will you be bringing back for me? :p

Ill take up a special collection of spiced and flavored beer for ya. Lemon vanilla is your favorite, right?

Hit the Pizza Port in San Clemente or Carlsbad. IPAs, double IPAs, cask conditioned ales, special pale ales, all kinds of guest taps, you can't beat these places. IMHO they offer the best beer in California, and some pretty good pizza too.

Also forgot about Naja's in Redondo Beach, as well as the Goat Hill Tavern and HiTime wines in Coasta Mesa. Both Naja's and the Goat Hill have ridiculous amounts of very good beer on draft, and HiTimes is probably the best specialty beer store in the lower half of the state. And make sure you hit Stone on either a Friday or Saturday, as those are the only days that the taproom and giftshop are open.

Yeah, get the Celebrator. You could spend a week stopping at all the places going south. Santa Barbara Brewing is cool, San Luis Obispo Brewing, the list is long. If you do happen to get to Naja's and it's the weekend I may be in and get ya a pint. Pizza Port is awesome also. I'm partial to the Carlsbad location ( Stone is inland from here so it makes a great double feature ). The Solana Beach one is fun also. They all have great beers. Hopefully you have enough time to enjoy your trip slowly. It'll be a blast. Maybe you can give a write up when you're done?? Wow, cheers.

If you are going to Santa Barbara, make sure you get to The Brewhouse. Unlike the other brewpub in town, all of the Beers there are great. At the other one, there are only two or three that are very good, the others are less than that.

One thing to point out: The 101 is closed both directions between Santa Barbara and Ventura until Saturday, most likely, so a trip to SB may be on the way home...
Cheers!
